Excursion No.01 Historical Cochin : Itinerary : Fort Kochi & Mattancherry Backwater cruise by motorboat
The Queen of Arabian Sea is one of the most interesting cities of India and has one of the finest natural harbours in the world. The ancient Temples, Churches and Synagogues in this district are of special interest to archeologists and historians. Chinese fishing nets, Jewish Synagogue, Dutch palace and the Bolgatty palace in Cochin enrich the heritage of Kerala.
St. Francis Church: is the oldest church built by Europeans in India. Protuguese Trader Vasco da Gama on his 3rd visit fell ill and died in Kochi. He was buried in the St.Francis Church, later his remains were taken back to Portugal, the burial spot inside the church has been clearly marked.
Vasco House: located on Rose Street, is believed to be one of the oldest Portuguese houses in India. Vasco da Gama is believed to have lived here. The house features European glass paned windows and verandahs.
Santa Cruz Basilica: Original church situated in Fort Kochi, was built by the Portuguese in 1505 and as a cathedral in 1558. The British colonists destroyed the cathedral in 1795. The current structure was built in 1905 and raised to the status of a basilica by Pope John Paul II in 1984.
Chinese Fishing Nets: are distinctly unique to Kochi. Believed that traders from the court of the Chinese ruler Kublai Khan introduced these nets. Outside China these nets are found in Kochi only.The coast along Fort Kochi and Vypeen are dotted with these nets.
Jewish Synagogue and Jew Town: Synagogue built in 1568 is magnificently decorated by Chinese tiles and Belgian chandlers. Giant scrolls of the Old Testament can be found here.
Dutch Palace: was originally built by the Portuguese. In 17th century, the Dutch modified it and presented it to the Raja of Kochi. Coronation of many Rajas of Kochi were held here. The Palace has a fine collection of mural paintings depicting scenes from the Hindu epics Mahabharatha and Ramayana.
Backwater cruise: The Backwaters separating Ernakulam from Fort Kochi and Mattancherry are dotted with many small and mid-sized islands. Cruise through the backwaters will be a different experience.

Excursion No 06 Devotional Delights : Itinerary : Guruvayoor Temple and Punnathoor Kota
Guruvayur: 100 kms from Kochi, one of the most important pilgrimage centres of India and also know as the Dwaraka of South. The temple dedicated to Lord Krishna known here as Guruvayurappan. Devotees throng the small town during the pilgrim season. Kerala’s Largest Shrine and South India’s second largest revenue earner. Entry is restricted to Hindus.
Punnathoor Kotta: 02 kms away from Guruvayur. The palace grounds of the erstwhile Punnathoor rajas, it is home to more than 60 elephants, all gifted by devotees, and the only one of its kind in the world. The sprawling, forested grounds swarm with elephants. Right at the entrance, you are greeted by huge tuskers thrown casually around a tusk, the elephants standing on three legs, probably to rest the fourth leg and claves as active and mischievous as any young one. There are more in various sizes, shapes and colours. Visitors to Punnathooktta are so smitten by the beauty of the beasts that they hardly see the warning boards. The elephants of Punnathoorkotta are, of course, an exception in this respect.

Excursion No 07 Blue Green Kerala Tour Itinerary : Backwater cruise at Alappuzha
Alappuzha: The Venice of the East, 63 kms south of Kochi along the coast, having extensive canal network. Alappuzha sandwiched between the longest Lake Vembanad and the Arabian Sea. Kumarakom: 80 kms from Kochi, located on the bank of the Vembanad Lake is a cluster of little islands, and this small water world is part of the Kuttanad region. Kumarakom is a destination one can cruise through the backwaters, fishing and just watch the Kerala countryside. Kumarakom interspersed with lush green mangrove forests, paddy fields that stretch out far into the horizon and rows and rows of coconut palms that criss-cross the backwater canals, the little village of Kumarakom is in reality a group of boat ride into the countryside can offer a close look at the life in the villages, one can see fishermen moving around the lake with country boat while womes in neck deep water searching for karimeen fish. Excursion No 10 Cultural Kaleidoscope Itinerary Kalamandalam, Cheruthuruthy.
Cheruthuruthy : 110 kms from Kochi, is famous as the home of Kerala Kalamandalam, the state’s flagship training school for Kathakali and other indigenous Kerala arts, which was founded in 1927 by the revered Kerala poet Vallathol Narayana Menon. Small village consists of a few lanes and one main street which runs south from the bank of Kerala’s longest river, the Bharathapuzha, considered holy river by Hindus. Kerala has a spectacular heritage of performing, ritual, folk and classical arts. In Kerala Kalamandalam can see the students perfoming Kathakali, Koodiyattam and Mohiniyattam in the schools superb theatre, which replicates the wooden, sloping-roofed traditional theatres, known as Kuttambalams, found in Kerala temples. Kalamandalam has produced a handful of gifted artists in the field. Other performing arts that are taught at and performed by Kalamandalam are classical karnatic music, Thullal, semi-classical solo dance-drama, Panchavadyam, Mridangam.

Excursion No 11 Village Tour Itinerary : Njarackal-Aqua special + Cherai Beach visit.
One hour drive from Kochi where you can enjoy boat cruise through canals by country boat or pedel boat or the motor boat. Can hire the boat and do the riding by yourself. Another entertainment is fishing, can have the equipments from the aqua fed itself for doing the fishing, can take home the catched ones.
Cherai Beach : 45 kms from Kochi , lovely beach bordering Vypeen Island is ideal for swimming. Dolphins are occasionally seen here. A typical Kerala village with paddy fields and coconut groves nearby is an added attraction.
