day to explore more in Pollachi.Proceed
for a village walk or bullock cart ride.
The quaint village has simple lined homes
and one can stop to visit a craftsman's
home or a village temple or just to catch
some village small talk. Proceed to visit
Sandhai Stroll, a village market.Back to
the home for an overnight stay.

03 : On to Madurai |

Morning we drive to Madurai.Madurai
is famous for the awe-some Sri Meenakshi
Temple complex; It is one of South India's
oldest cities and has been a center of learning
and pilgrimage for centuries.Reach Madurai
& Relax for a while in the homestay.Visit
Meenakshi Temple, which is a spectacular
pastiche of Dravidian Architecture. The
temple complex occupies an area of six hectares.
Its 12 highly decorative gopurams range
in the height from 45m to 50m(the tallest
in the southern tower) and are adored with
the carvings of celestial and animal figures.

04 : On to Thekkady - On to Mayapott Bungalow |

Morning after breakfast
proceed to Thekkady.Reach kattapana (18
kms from kumily) by late evening.Reach
the place and we now take you to a bungalow
that is literally built on a rock. A home
that takes in the strengths of nature
to be the foundation of its bonds.
Mayapott is built around a huge rock,
which was used as a resting point for
hunters. Legend has it that the bonfire
around which they rested was a safe refuge
from the herd of wild elephants that raged
the area. Built entirely out of chiseled
rock from the region, the structure is
unique in the fact that little cement
is used to bond the building rocks together.
